FRUD, for its part, evokes a reaction in response to an attack by Djibouti’s authorities.

Djiboutian authorities speak of an attack by the Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy (FRUD), while the FRUD evokes a response back. Officially, Djiboutian authorities report 7 dead, 4 wounded, and 6 missing, all in the ranks of the army. On the night of Thursday October 6 to Friday October 7, around 2 a.m., Djiboutian soldiers from the Tadjourah regiment (RIAT) were attacked in military outpost of KARABTI SAN https://goo.gl/maps/9ogdQ6RXSXArAjQG8 . According to the FRUD military command, the Djiboutian army attacked Front fighters earlier in the afternoon, about fifteen kilometers from the military camp. A report by the Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy states that their men seized control of the camp and took weapons and ammunition.
